Cloning a Rate Table

You can clone an existing rate table if you have read access to it. The new copy automatically retains the conversion values, planning units, dimensions, and mapped data source from the original rate table. You can then edit the new copy. The cloning process is particularly useful in the following circumstances:

  • To use an existing rate table as the basis for a new variant.
  • To create alternative rate tables with the same composition of planning units and dimensions.
  • To create a backup of a rate table prior to applying any significant changes.

To clone a rate table:

  1. From the Rate Tables tab, click the rate table you want to clone.
  2. Click Clone Rate Table. The Clone Rate Table window displays.
  3. Amend the proposed rate table name to uniquely identify the new clone.
  4. [Optional] Enter a description for the new rate table.
  5. In the Scenarios list, select each scenario you want to include in the new rate table and toggle the Default preference accordingly. If you are not copying the default scenario from the original rate table, you must select an alternative.
  6. [Optional] To amend a scenario name or description, hover over the corresponding field and click Edit Scenario Name.
  7. Click Save. The new rate table displays.
Note:

The sharing settings defined for the original rate table, granting specific access to a user or group, are not transferred to the new clone.
