Improve Your User Experience with Expanded Lightning

We’ve continued to make some improvements to ensure you gain an enhanced Lightning experience while using Order and Inventory Management features. These improvements span across various functionalities, ensuring a seamless and more productive workflow.

Enhanced Order Fulfillment with New Reverse Allocate Lightning Action

To enhance flexibility and efficiency in your Order Fulfillment workflow, we've introduced the new Reverse Allocate Lightning action on the sales order line item's detail page. This new feature provides you with a direct and simplified method for undoing the allocation of inventory to a specific sales order line item. This means that you now gain greater control over stock adjustments based on shifting business priorities and customer demands without canceling the entire sales order.

In addition, we're retiring the outdated Reverse Allocate web link and its Visualforce page. They'll be deactivated in a future release, no sooner than 12 months from now. We'll continue to support these components until deactivation, but recommend that you start using the new Lightning button. Work with your administrator to start using it. For more information, see Reverse Allocating a Sales Order Line Item and Deprecated Elements.

Upgraded Sales Order Line Items Grid with New Reverse Allocate Lines Lightning Action

In line with the improvement listed above, we've also added the new Reverse Allocate Lines Lightning action on the Sales Order Line Items grid available from the Line Items tab on the sales order's record page. This action enables you to quickly and efficiently reverse the allocation of inventory for one or more selected line items on a sales order.

Optimized Sales Order Lightning Record Page

We've improved several field labels and tooltips from the Sales Order and Sales Order Line Items objects. We've reworded these items to boost clarity, reduce ambiguity, and provide you with descriptive context.

We've also replaced the outdated Actions panel and its web links on the Sales Order Lightning record page with the new Create and Review Invoice and Create Purchase Order Lightning actions. This offers a cleaner layout and more intuitive navigation, with easier access to critical sales order functions.

As a result, we're retiring both the aforementioned Visualforce web links and the Actions panel, as well as several user interface elements that interact with these obsolete components. They'll be deactivated in a future release, no sooner than 12 months from now. We'll continue to support the Actions panel and its web links until deactivation, but recommend that you start using the new Lightning buttons. Work with your administrator to start using them. For more information, see Reviewing an Invoice, Creating a Purchase Order from a Sales Order, and Deprecated Elements

Support High-Unit Currencies with Expanded Tax Fields

We have increased the length of tax fields from seven digits to nine digits to support the use of high-unit currencies, such as the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Conversion rates against the Australian Dollar (AUD) could cause tax values to exceed the seven digit limit. For more information, see Upgrading to Order and Inventory Management Spring 2026.
