Project Summary Overview

The Project summary enables you to leverage the power of Certinia AI by generating a summary of a project that includes the stage, project manager, and the account associated with your project. Additionally, the Project summary displays information such as the start and end dates, and the duration of your project. Providing only the relevant information reduces the time you spend manually evaluating your projects and provides a clear description of the project that other stakeholders can review. The Project summary can be viewed and generated on the project record.

Note:

This feature analyzes existing records only. To take follow-up actions, such as creating or updating records, you must have the same permissions that are required to perform those actions manually.

Generating a Project summary for your project includes the following sections.

Financials

The Project summary includes a Financials section. This provides a summary regarding the financial health of your project and enables you to see a quick overview of the bookings, billings, the project margin, and the total costs. The Financials section also compares the total spent to the budget set for your project. The values included are always in the currency code of the project you are summarizing.

Risks

The Project summary includes a Risks section. This section provides a summary regarding open risks, which could impact your project, and displays the severity as recorded on the risk record page. The Risks section also provides direct links to the risk record page, and a short summary of their key themes.

Staffing

The Project summary includes a Staffing section. This section provides a summary regarding the current staffing on your project, such as resources assigned to specific roles, and if their schedule hours are accounted for in these roles. The staffing summary also details if there are any outstanding staffing decisions remaining, and the number of hours required for the role.

Deliverables

The Project summary includes a Deliverables section. This provides a summary regarding project milestones upcoming in the next month and their end dates. The Deliverables section also displays in progress project tasks, the resources they are assigned to, and a summary of the work being completed in the project task.

All records in the Deliverables section are also linked, enabling you to navigate to milestone and project task record pages as required.

This section enables you to generate RAID Next Steps or edit the project summary as required. Clicking Generate RAID Next Steps provides you with a more in-depth view of the most severe issues and risks currently impacting your project, and provides up to five suggested next steps to minimize their impact.
