Skill Suggestions for Resources Overview

Skill suggestions for resources are based on the skills from your assignments closed within the time period defined by your administrator and associated with a resource request.

Skill suggestions display in the Skills tab in the Manage Skills and Certifications window, enabling you to easily review and add them while you manage your skills. Suggested skills are ordered according to:

1. The number of assignments they were used for
2. The most recently closed assignment they were used for

Under the My Skills tab, a banner with the total number of suggested skills that you have available is displayed. You can click the link on the banner to view the suggestions in the Manage Skills and Certifications window. The total number is updated according to the suggested skills that you add or delete.

Note:

Your administrator defines the maximum number of suggestions that display in the Manage Skills and Certifications window. This means that if you have more suggestions than the defined limit, you will not see all the suggestions. To view more suggestions, you must add suggested skills. For more information, see Adding Skills and Certifications.

For each skill, you can view the number of assignments that the skill was used for. You can only view suggested skills for your user. Only skills that you do not already have assigned are displayed as suggestions. If your organization uses skills and certifications zones, you only view skills associated with your region, practice, and group. For more information, see Skill and Certification Zones.

You can receive notifications for new suggested skills if enabled by your administrator. You can click the notification to be redirected to the Manage Skills and Certifications window to view the suggestions.
