Updating a Project Forecast with the Latest Data

Project forecasts are periodically updated with the latest operational data using a scheduled background process. The frequency of the process executions depends on how your org is configured. If you cannot wait until the next execution, you can manually update the data in a single forecast.

To manually update the data in a forecast:

  1. Open the forecast that you want to update with the latest data.
  2. In the forecast toolbar, click Update from Analytics.
  3. Leave the default dimension filters and click Next.
  4. Leave the default measure filter and click Next.
  5. Leave the default dimension value mappings and click Update.
  6. If you've made changes to the time period dataset filters, select Dimension Filters to save the filters as the new default.

  7. Click Continue.The forecast is updated with the latest data.

    Note:

    This can result in some cells, rows, and columns being deleted.

  8. In the forecast toolbar, click Save.
