Changing the Position of a Column in a Forecast

You can reorder the columns in a forecast to display them in a more meaningful way according to your requirements.

Note:

The following restrictions apply:

• When you move the top-level dimension value, for example, the time period year, the entire group moves with it. This includes all the time period months and revenue and cost values with the year.
• You can only reorder values within their group. You cannot move a lower-level dimension value to another group.For example, you cannot move one month's Revenue column to another month.

You can change the position of a column by dragging its header and dropping it into a new position. Alternatively, perform the following steps:

1. Open the forecast that contains the column whose position you want to change.
2. Right-click the header of the column that you want to move.

3. Depending on the required position, do one of the following:

   • Click Move Column Right to move the column by one position to the right. This is only available if the column is not already in the rightmost position of the group.
   • Click Move Column Left to move the column by one position to the left. This is only available if the column is not already in the leftmost position of the group.
4. Repeat the previous step until the column reaches the required position.
5. In the forecast toolbar, click Save.
