Relationships Between Forecasts
Project forecasts typically roll up to a higher level forecast, such as a practice or a region forecast. This establishes a parent-child relationship between the two forecasts. Child forecasts are displayed as read-only summary rows in the parent forecast. This means that you can continue working on the child forecast and the summarized values are automatically updated in the parent. If you want to view the details of the child forecast, you can open it directly from the parent forecast. For more information, see Viewing a Child Forecast.
Depending on how your org is configured, relationships might be automatically created when the project forecasts are created. For more information, contact your administrator.
You can also view a hierarchical representation of all the relationships that a forecast has. Additionally, you can customize how the hierarchy is displayed. For more information, see Viewing the Hierarchy of a Forecast's Relationships and Customizing the Relationship Hierarchy Display for a Forecast.
