Creating the Flex Instructions Permission Set

Note:

This feature is part of the Certinia Early Adopter Program. This program is only available to a limited number of customers. For more information, contact your Certinia Account Team.

The AI Connector - Manage Flex Instructions permission set grants instruction administrators the ability to create, view, edit, and manage flex instructions. AI Connector does not provide this permission set. You must create it yourself by following the steps in this topic.

To create this permission set, you or your administrator must perform the following steps.

Create the Permission Set

  1. Navigate to Setup | Permission Sets.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter the following permission set information:
Permission Set Fields
Field Value
Label AI Connector - Manage Flex Instructions
API Name FlexInstructionAdmin
License None
  1. Click Save.

Grant Apex Class Access

  1. From the permission set, click Apex Class Access under Apps.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Find haibase_FlexInstrController in the Available Apex Classes list and move it to Enabled Apex Classes.
  4. Click Save.

Set Object Permissions

  1. From the permission set, click Object Settings.
  2. Click Flex Instructions (Flex_Instruction__c).
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Set the following permissions:

  3. Set the following permissions:

  1. Click Save.

Set Tab Visibility

Tab visibility controls whether users can open the Flex Instructions page and the Veda page.

  1. From the permission set, click Object Settings.
  2. Click Flex Instructions (haibase_FlexInstructions).
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Set the Tab Settings to Visible.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat these steps for Veda (haibase_Veda).

The Flex Instruction object also has its own tab (Flex_Instruction__c), with the same label as the Flex Instructions page. This tab opens an object list view rather than the Flex Instructions authoring page, so it does not need to be visible.

Assign the Permission Set to Users

  1. Return to the permission set and click Manage Assignments.
  2. Click Add Assignments.
  3. Select your instruction administrators and click Assign.
