Creating a Budget

To create a budget when creating a project from a template or an opportunity:

  1. Scroll to Projects on the Region, Practice, Group, Account or Opportunity that you want to associate with the project.
  2. Click Create Project From Template.
  3. Select the template you want to use and click Select.
  4. Complete the fields described in "Project Fields"
    Note
    Some of the project fields are completed automatically. If you have permissions to do so, you can edit these fields after creating the project.
  5. Complete the fields in the Budget Details section. For further information, see "Budget Fields".
  6. Click Create.

    The project is created with the budget you entered.

To create a budget and add it to a project:

  1. Click the Budgets tab then click New, or click New Budget on the Budgets related list.
  2. Complete the fields described in "Budget Fields".
  3. Click Create.
