Estimates Versus Actuals

FinancialForce PSA tracks scheduled hours (estimates) and compares them with the actual hours entered on timecards. Estimates versus actuals are automatically generated by FinancialForce PSA as an assignment and schedule are created and updated and as timecards are entered against that assignment. You can view the Estimates versus Actuals on the Est vs Actuals related list on the Contact page for a resource.

If you have permissions to do so you can:

Create a new Estimated Versus Actuals comparison for a resource.
Explicitly set which Timecards are included in Estimates Vs. Actuals calculations, based on the timecard status.

When you or your administrator make changes to a timecard with Global Admin Edit selected and the changes affect actuals records, each assignment's estimates versus actuals record is updated to reflect the changes.

Estimates versus actuals records are created for all time period entities including weeks, months and quarters and are spanned by an assignment schedule. Timecard split records have a link to their associated estimates versus actuals record.
