Performing Enhanced Services Forecasting Upgrade Tasks Summer 2018

The Feature Console performs the following steps for you:

• Migrates your existing Enhanced Services Forecasting data to the updated object model
• Updates the Forecast Setup page layout
• Updates the Forecast Setup Category page layout

The following manual steps are also required:

1. Remove the related lists on the page layouts for specified objects. See Manually Removing Related Lists for more information.
2. [Optional] Edit the Help links on the Forecast Setup and Forecast Setup Category objects to point to the PSA Online Help instead of the Salesforce Help. See Manually Editing Online Help Links for more information.
3. [Optional] Edit the Help links on the Forecast Curve and Forecast Curve Detail objects to point to the PSA Online Help instead of the Salesforce Help. This step is not necessary if you are upgrading from PSA Spring 2018. See Manually Editing Online Help Links for more information.

Migrating Existing Forecasting Data

The Feature Console performs the data migration for you. When complete, you will receive an email and the status for this feature step will change to DONE. You can then enable the feature.

Applying Updates to Page Layouts

The Feature Console applies updates to the page layouts for the following objects:

• Forecast Setup
• Forecast Setup Category

Manually Removing Related Lists

You need to manually remove specified related lists on the following objects, which are used by Enhanced Services Forecasting:

• Region
• Practice
• Group
• Project
• Opportunity

To remove the related lists set on these objects:

1. From Setup, click Create | Objects. Using Lightning ExperienceNavigate to Objects and Fields | Object Manager.
2. Click the object.
3. Select the Page Layouts section and edit the page layout.
4. Navigate to the Related Lists section on the page layout and remove the following related lists:
• zDeprecated: Forecast Calculations
• zDeprecated: Forecast Summaries
• zDeprecated: Forecast Details
5. Repeat for each of the objects listed above.
6. When complete, return to the PSA Enhanced Services Forecast Summer 18 Feature Console page, and click Mark As Done.

Manually Editing Online Help Links

When you click the Help icon on the following objects, you are taken to a standard Salesforce Help page instead of the PSA Online Help:

• Forecast Setup
• Forecast Setup Category
• Forecast Curve
• Forecast Curve Detail

This is a known Salesforce issue when upgrading.

To change the Online Help link destination manually:

1. From Setup, click Create | Objects. Using Lightning ExperienceNavigate to Objects and Fields | Object Manager.
2. Click the Forecast Setup object.
3. Click Edit.
4. Check the Context-Sensitive Help Setting is set to "Open a window using a Visualforce page".
5. In the Content Name field, select "ForecastEnhancedSetupHelp".
6. Click Save.

Repeat the steps for the other objects, using the following details to complete the Content Name field:

• Forecast Setup Category: select "ForecastEnhancedSetupCategoryHelp"
• Forecast Curve: select "ForecastCurveHelp"
• Forecast Curve Detail: select "ForecastCurveHelp"
