Assigning Gantt Permissions

Note: To use Gantt, you need to enable it through Feature Console. For information, see Enabling Gantt.

To grant the permissions to the relevant users of Gantt, as an administrator you must:

If any users will be accessing Gantt through PSA Communities, ensure that they have the correct permission controls.

Assigning Permission Sets

To provide the necessary permissions for a user to access Gantt:

  1. Open Setup.
  2. In the Administration section, select Users | Users. Using ClassicClosed In the Administration Setup section, select Manage Users | Users.
  3. Select the full name of the user.
  4. In the Permission Set Assignments related list, click Edit Assignments.
  5. Select "PSA Project Manager - Gantt" from the Available Permission Sets list and move it to the Enabled Permission Sets list.
  6. Click Save.

Assigning Permission Controls

To enable users to view, or view and edit projects in Gantt, you need to configure a user's permission control record.

To set up a permission control for a user:

  1. In App Launcher, select All Items | Permission Controls. Using ClassicClosed Select the Permission Controls tab.
  2. Click New.
  3. Complete the summary fields, as needed.
  4. In the Permissions section, select:
    • Project Task Gantt View. This enables the user to view projects in Gantt.
    • Project Task Gantt Edit. This enables the user to view and edit projects in Gantt.
  1. Click Save or Save & New.
