Creating and Cloning Navigation Configurations

The configuration builder is accessed via the Lightning App Launcher.

Creating a new navigation Configuration

On the Navigation Configuration Builder tab:

  1. Click New in the header bar or the preview area of.
  2. Enter a unique label for the Navigation configuration, this label is used to identify the configuration in the configuration builder and in the Lightning app builder.
  3. Click in API Name. A calculated API name is displayed.
  4. (Optional) Edit the API Name.
Note: This must be a unique API Name.
  1. Click Save.

Clone an existing navigation configuration

On the Navigation Configuration Builder tab:

  1. Click on the name of an existing navigation configuration, the details for the navigation configuration are loaded on screen.
  2. Click Clone.
  3. Enter a unique label for the Navigation configuration, this label is used to identify the configuration in the configuration builder and in the Lightning app builder.
  4. Amend the API Name to reflect the name of the navigation configuration.
Note: This must be a unique API Name.
  1. Click Save.
Note: When saving a navigation configuration the amount of time needed to process the request is variable, some time may elapse before the navigation is saved. This is due to Salesforce operations processing in the background.
