Customer Quotation Fields

Here is a description of the fields and buttons added to the Customer Quotation object when Advanced Quoting is installed. For more information about the fields and buttons included in Order and Inventory Management, see Customer Quotation Fields.

Note:

The fields and layout described here might be different in your org depending on the way in which your administrator has set up Advanced Quoting, whether your organization uses Service Contracts and the type of customer quotation that you are viewing.

Fields Added by Advanced Quoting to the Customer Quotation Object

Field

Description

About Customer

Additional information about the customer or quotation. This is a field that is populated by the user about the prospect's company and can be inserted into a document such as a proposal or contract.

Apex Job Id The asynchronous apex job ID of the batch job.
Batch Process Lookup to the batch process for batches on the customer quotation.
Batch Process Status The status of the associated batch process.
Batch Status

The status of the batch job. The possible values are:

  • Processing
  • Complete
  • Error
Bottom Line Discount The additional discount.
Discount off List

The total discount off list for the quotation - total list price - total customer price (before any bottom line discount).

Original Total Sell Price The original total internal sell price before the bottom line discount.
Total Discount

The sum of the Discount Off List, Total Customer Rebate Discount and Bottom Line Discount fields.

Total Item Cost

The NRC invoiced is used only for change request quotes to help the user understand about the service contract.

 

Total List Price The total of the list price for all the items on the quote.
Total Quote The total customer price after bottom line discount. This is calculated as customer total price minus total customer rebate discount minus bottom line discount.

Manufacturer

This is a manufacture to use on a quote printout or a report. It is the name from the reference to a known manufacturer or the new manufacturer.

Manufacturer for use on the print of the quote.

Price By Indicates the pricing action taken on the customer quotation line.
Product Group Line item product group name.
Supplier  
Term Cost

The extended list price minus the total customer price.

Buttons

Here is a description of the buttons added to the Customer Quotation object when Advanced Quoting is installed.

Key: L - Only available in Lightning Experience.

Buttons Added by Advanced Quoting to the Customer Quotation Object
Button   Description
Add Multiple Items L Displays the Add Multiple Items window where you can use the Filters panel to search for items and add those items to the customer quotation grid.
Create Sales Order L Creates a sales order from the customer quotation.
Create Service Contract  

Creates a service contract from a service contract, flex term SC or change request customer quotation.

Duplicate L Duplicates the entire customer quotation along with its lines.
Manage Quote Pricing L Enables you to change the Bottom Line Discount and Total Quote Price values, which is then applied across all line items in the quotation.
Print  

Displays the customer quotation in a format that you can print.

Note:

If you want the comments entered into the Quotation Comments field to appear on the quotation PDF, you must select the Print Quotation Comments onto quote PDF field in the Advanced Quoting Settings custom setting.

Send L Sends an email with the customer quotation PDF.

Customer Quotation Lines and Toolbar Buttons and Actions

The following buttons are available on the Customer Quotation Line Items grid of the Customer Quotation page in Lightning.

Note:

We strongly recommend that you do not clone customer quotation lines using the Salesforce Clone button.

Search

Enter a few letters or words to search in the grid records.

Add a Line

Adds a line item.

Clone Lines

Clones the selected lines.

Delete Lines

Deletes the selected lines.

Manage Grouping Manages the grouping of line items. The options are:
  • Group - Groups the selected line items.
  • Ungroup - Ungroups the selected line items.
  • Group by Product Group - Groups the selected line items automatically under their preassigned product group.
Manage Pricing Manages the pricing of line items. The options are:
  • Cost Plus - The cost of the item plus the percentage gross profit margin you want to make.
  • List Minus - The Price is calculated using the formula: Price = List Price – (List Price * % Discount).
  • Profit Margin - The NRC price is calculated using the formula:
    Quantity * (Item Cost / (1 - (Profit Margin/100))) where Profit Margin is the percentage you enter.
  • Set Cost By List Minus - Sets the item cost to a percentage of the list price.
  • Apply Rebate - To pass a percentage of the applied rebate amount to the customer.

Expand All Expands all the line item groups.
Collapse All Collapses all the line item groups.
Settings

Provides setting options for the grid. Currently, there is one menu option:

  • Reset Preferences - Resets the user's field set preferences.

Info button Information message specifying the use of the actions and buttons on the grid.
Save   Saves the lines.
Cancel   When you click Cancel you will be prompted to either continue editing or discard your changes. Click Discard to cancel the unsaved changes.
|Select Item Options   Displays the Select Item Options window to select options for an item master.
