Project Billing Configuration Options (Lightning)

Billing configuration options enable you to configure object field sets that are used in the tables and filter panels in the following record selection windows in the Generate Billing Events Lightning process for project billing:

  • Timecard Splits
  • Expenses
  • Budget Pre-Bills
  • Miscellaneous Adjustments
  • Milestones

Configuring Columns in Tables

When configured, your columns are added to the default columns that are displayed in the tables.

To configure an object field set for columns in the tables:

  1. From Setup, open Object Manager, and then open the relevant object.
  2. Select Field Sets, and then click New.
  3. Enter the details, and then click Save.
  4. Add the relevant fields to the lists, and then click Save.
  5. From App Launcher, open the Billing configuration group.
  6. From the Configuration Options related list, open the relevant configuration option:
    • adhocDisplayTimecard
    • adhocDisplayExpense
    • adhocDisplayBudget
    • adhocDisplayMiscAdj
    • adhocDisplayMilestone
  7. In the Values related list, click New. The New Configuration Value window opens.
  8. In the Value field, add the API name of the field set that you created.
  9. Click Save.

Configuring Fields in Filter Panels

When configured, your fields replace the default fields that are displayed in the filter panels, except Start Date and End Date.

To configure an object field set for fields in the filter panel:

  1. From Setup, open Object Manager, and then open the relevant object.
  2. Select Field Sets, and then click New.
  3. Enter the details, and then click Save.
  4. Add the relevant fields to the lists, and then click Save.
  5. From App Launcher, open the Billing configuration group.
  6. From the Configuration Options related list, open the relevant configuration option:
    • adhocFilterTimecard
    • adhocFilterExpense
    • adhocFilterBudget
    • adhocFilterMiscAdj
    • adhocFilterMilestone
  7. In the Values related list, click New. The New Configuration Value window opens.
  8. In the Value field, add the API name of the field set that you created.
  9. Click Save.
Note: You can only add the following field types to the filter field set:
  • Reference
  • Double
  • Picklist
  • String
  • Boolean
  • Percent
  • Date
