Creating Budget Versions

To create a budget version from a parent budget:

  1. On the Planning Workspace tab, click Budget Versions.
  2. Click New.
  3. In the Source field, search for or select a source parent budget. The parent budget cannot be changed after the budget version is created.
  4. Do one of the following:
    1. Select a source and the applicable child budgets.
    2. Click Show All Filters.
      1. In the Name field, search for a source parent budget.
      2. In the Budget Year field, search for a budget year.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Name field, enter a unique name or use the pre-populated name.
  7. [Optional] In the Description field, enter a budget version description.
  8. [Optional] In the Scenario field, select a budget version scenario.
  9. Click Save.

To create a budget version from a budget version:

  1. On the Planning Workspace tab, click Budget Versions.
  2. Click New.
  3. In the Source field, click Show All Filters.
  4. Select the Budget Versions checkbox.
  5. In the Name field, search for a source parent budget version. The parent budget version cannot be changed after the budget version is created.
  6. In the Budget Year field, search for a budget version year.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Name field, enter a unique name or use the pre-populated name.
  9. [Optional] In the Description field, enter a budget version description.
  10. [Optional] In the Scenario field, select a budget version scenario.
  11. Click Save.
