Managing Bank Reconciliation Details
To display the details of an existing bank reconciliation The process of comparing and matching transaction values against those shown on a bank statement in order to uncover any possible discrepancies.:
- Make sure your current company The company in which you are working. This is represented by the company queue to which you, and new instances of objects you create, are assigned. is the appropriate company for the relevant bank account.
- Click the Bank Accounts tab.
- Locate and select the relevant bank account.
- Scroll down to the bank reconciliations related list.
- Click the link in the bank reconciliation reference column for the record that you want to view. The details of the bank reconciliation are displayed.
Alternatively in Lightning Experience you can display the details from the bank reconciliation The process of comparing and matching transaction values against those shown on a bank statement in order to uncover any possible discrepancies. tab:
- Click the Bank Reconciliation tab.
- Locate and select the relevant bank reconciliation to display the details.

- Click the link in the bank reconciliation reference column for the record that you want to view. The details of the bank reconciliation are displayed.
From here you can choose to:
- Click Edit to change selected details on the bank reconciliation header.
- Click Delete to delete the bank reconciliation.
- Click Commit to commit an "In Progress" bank reconciliation.
- Click Reopen to reset the status of a "Complete" bank reconciliation in the event of an error.
- Record any bank and interest charges shown on the bank statement.
- Using Classic: Add new reconciliation line items (or remove existing ones).
Bank Reconciliation Actions
The Bank Reconciliation Action section provides quick actions that are relevant to the Bank Reconciliation.
It allows you to carry out the following actions:
- Click Bank Statement to navigate to the corresponding bank statement record page. If there is no associated Bank Statement it will display an error message.
- If there is no "In Progress" bank reconciliation, click Reconcile from Bank Statement to perform the following actions:
- If Bank Statement already exists it will navigate you to the Reconcile from Bank Statement window to reconcile.
- If Bank Statement doesn't exist it will ask you to create a Bank Statement. Once the bank statement is created it will display the Reconcile from the Bank Statement window.
- If there is another “In Progress” bank reconciliation it will display an error message.
- Click New Bank Reconciliation Charge to record any bank and interest charges shown on the bank statement.
- Start a Manual Reconciliation if there is no "In Progress" bank reconciliation.
Bank Reconciliation Charge
The Bank Reconciliation related list provides access to the Bank Reconciliation Charge. Under the Line ID column header, click the Bank Reconciliation Charge to display the detail page.
Bank Reconciliation Line Items
The Bank Reconciliation related list provides access to the Bank Reconciliation Line Items. Under the Line ID column header, click the Bank Reconciliation Line Items to display the detail page.
