Company Ownership Fields

Here is a description of the fields that make up a company ownership record.

Key: X – You must enter one or the other, not both; * – Mandatory field; R – Read-only

Field		Description
Internal Investor	X	Lookup to the related owner (parent) company. This is another company within your organization. Duplicates are not allowed.
External Investor	X	Name of an external owner company, outside of your organization. Duplicates are not allowed.
Investment Company	R	Formula. Name of the owner company derived from one of the previous fields. Duplicates are not allowed.
Internal		Indicates that the owner company is internal. Displayed on the list view only.
Ownership (%)	*	Ownership expressed as a percentage (more than zero, no decimal places).
End Date of Ownership		Indicates the end date of the ownership for an investment company.
Ownership Category		Indicates the category of the ownership. The options available are: Control Significant Influence Joint Venture Joint Operation Minority Interest
Start Date of Ownership		Indicates the start date of the ownership for an investment company.
Is Consolidation Structure		Indicates if a company ownership is a consolidation structure. This differentiates the records that are used in the consolidation process, from the records created for the previous company structure model.
Is Active		Indicate if a company ownership is active in the org and within a consolidation structure. Once a company ownership is active you can't edit any fields except for the End Date of Ownership field.
