Creating a Company Ownership Record

To view all your Company Ownership records or to create new ownerships, search for Company Ownerships in the App Launcher.

The Company Ownerships page displays a list view of all the created company ownership records. Each record has the following fields:

  • Internal Investor
  • External Investor
  • Investment Company
  • Ownership Category
  • Ownership (%)
  • Start Date of Ownership
  • End Date of Ownership
  • Is Active

To create a company ownership record:

  1. Click and search for Company Ownerships.
  2. Click Company Ownerships from the menu or from All Items.
  3. Click New on the Company Ownerships page. A New Company Ownership window opens.
  4. Enter the values in the fields. You must enter either an internal company or an external company.
  5. Specify the proportion of ownership as a percentage. This cannot be zero.
  6. Review the record and select the Is Active checkbox.
  7. Click Save.
Notes:
  • An Elimination Company and a Consolidation Adjustment Company cannot be set as investors in an active company ownership record and vice versa.
  • You can also create the company ownership record from the Accounting Companies page.
Warning:

Once the record is activated, you can only edit the end date and the record cannot be deactivated.
