Allocating Resources
You can allocate single resources to success plans and playbooks, and multiple resources to accounts. If a resource is already allocated to a success plan or playbook, you can replace that resource, but the newly allocated resource will also automatically become the owner of the record they are allocated to.
When you allocate a resource to a record, the following are updated:
- The Allocated Resources table of the record's resourcing tab
- The Success Plan Owner or Playbook Owner field when allocating the resource to a success plan or playbook
Also, an account customer success resource record is created when allocating resources to an account, which can be viewed in the Account Customer Success Resource related list on the account's record page.
To allocate resources to records:
- On the resourcing tab of the record, click Allocate.
- Select the resources you want to allocate to the record or search for a resource using two or more characters that appear anywhere in the resource's name. To filter the list of available resources, click , select the required filter criteria, and click Apply. You can filter by CS Cloud Resource, Role, and Time Zone. Only the resources that meet all the selected criteria display in the Available Resources table. Your filter selections are retained between browser sessions. To allocate all available resources to an account, select the checkbox in the heading line. For more information about this window, see Allocate Resources Fields.
- Click Allocate. The allocated resources display in the Allocated Resources table.
