Resource Requests Overview
The Resource Requests page is available from the App Launcher and lists the resource requests
A means of asking for resources for a project or an opportunity. available in your org. This enables you to create or manage resource requests for opportunities and projects. Click New to create a resource request, or click a resource request ID in the list to open the Resource Request record page.
The Resource Request record page enables you to identify the ideal resource who also has the capacity to do work that fits into their existing schedule. You can hold and assign resources for the resource request. For more information about using this page, see Managing Resource Requests.
You also can create unheld and held resource requests from these pages:
- Gantt
- Work Planner
- Opportunity record page
- Project record page
On the opportunity and project record pages, you can also open an existing resource request record by clicking the request request's ID on the Resource Requests related list.
When you create a resource request, you can add as much or little information as you want, such as a role, suggested resource, another resource, skills, rate details, and assignment. You can also hold resources for an existing assignment.

Rate Cards
You can create rate cards to automatically attach a suggested bill rate and average cost rate for a resource role on an account In this context, accounts are organizations or people that you conduct business with, such as customers or vendors. Account is a standard Salesforce object. Rate Card Discounts
You can apply a rate card discount percentage to unassigned or unheld opportunity and project resource requests. See Applying Rate Card Discounts.
