Mapping Additional Measures to an Existing Data Source
You can add additional measures to an existing data source using the Measure Mappings related list on the data source record page. This can be useful if you missed a mapping when you created the data source.
To map a measure to an existing data source:
- From the Data Sources tab, open the data source to which you want to add the measure mapping.
- On the record page, click the Related tab.
- In the Measure Mappings related list, click New.
- Select the Extended Planning and Analysis measure that you want to map, for example, Dual.
- In the Analytics Measure Name field, enter the API name of the measure in the dataset, for example, ValueDual. You can retrieve this information from Analytics Studio. For more information, see the Salesforce Help.
- In the Analytics Measure field, enter the label of the measure in the dataset, for example, Dual Value.
- In the Measure Type field, select the aggregation method, for example, "SUM". For more information, see Measure Type.
- Click Save.
The measure mapping is now saved and the measure is available when creating plans from the data source.
