Upgrading to Order and Inventory Management Summer 2024

This page describes the changes to make when upgrading to Summer 2024.

The following are the improvements that have been implemented in Order and Inventory Management in Summer 2024.

Customer Code Fields in Account Extension Object

Ensure the Customer Code field is available in the Account Extension object. If not, contact your administrator.

Account Extension Fields

Ensure that you have provided Read and Edit access to the Customer Code field in the Account Extension object on the following permission sets:

  • OIM - Calculate Tax for AP Vouchers and AP Voucher Credits Using Avalara
  • OIM - Calculate Tax for Invoices and Credit Invoices Using Avalara
  • OIM - Calculate Tax for Customer Quotations Using Avalara
  • OIM - Calculate Tax for Sales Orders Using Avalara
  • OIM - Calculate Tax for Purchase Orders Using Avalara

Enabling the Tax Calculation Using Avalara Feature

Note:  
  • For existing customers, a new feature console step is included. You can perform that Feature Console step to create the required permission sets and update permissions.
  • For new customers, the existing Feature Console step is enhanced to include the creation of permission sets and update to permissions.

Added Read and Edit access to the Customer Code field on the Account Extension object.

 

These are unmanaged permission sets. They are added when you run the Feature Console step for Avalara tax calculation. For more information, see

Update Message Keys

To update the message keys that are used in message types, perform the step in the Update for Consolidated Invoicing feature in the Feature Console. Updating the OIM to BC for Consolidated Invoicing Feature
Review the mapping for the message type associated with the Consolidated Invoicing.
