Timecards
- In the View section, select an appropriate list view from the drop-down list to go directly to that list page, or click Create New View to define your own custom list view. List views let you display a list of records that match specific criteria.
- In the Recent section, select an item from the drop-down list to display a brief list of the top records matching that criteria. The choices are listed in the table.
- From the list, you can click any timecard number to go directly to its detail.
- Click New to create a new timecard. Contact your administrator if you need to know which timecard entry user interface you are using.

You can use timecards to book time against projects. You must create a project A collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets. with assigned resources before you can book time using a timecard A mechanism for logging time against a project or an assignment.. If you have the necessary permissions, you can:
- Log timecards in time entry user interfaces. See Using Timecards.
- Book time to projects and assignments.
- Save, submit and recall timecards.
- Correct timecards or approve them outside the normal process using the Admin Edit button.
- Control whether resources enter their own time.
- Set up timecards for automatic or manual approval.
- Determine whether a missing timecard A record that indicates a resource has not entered a timecard. Missing timecards are calculated based on criteria defined by your administrator. is generated based on the status of the timecard.
Transaction records are created when you submit a timecard to allow the information to be rolled-up to assignments and milestones. If your administrator has configured the system to do so, an automatic email is sent to users with permission to approve the timecard.
When a timecard is approved, the numbers are rolled up to RPGs, Projects and Resources. Depending on configuration, this can generate and release billing event items to transfer the time to your financial system for invoicing.
Assignment Daily Notes
PSA records when assignment daily notes are created, deleted or modified and the person that made the change. The information is recorded in the Last Modified Date/Time and Last Modified By data on the assignment. If you have permissions, you can create workflows that provide email notifications when users enter assignment daily notes or modify them.
