PSA Direct for Jira Settings Fields

Use these settings on the PSA Direct for Jira Settings tab to configure and activate the PSA Direct for Jira connector.

Field Description
Email

Email address that error notifications are sent to.

Notes:
  • If an error occurs while syncing work logs to timecards or task time records, the error notification is sent to the PSA resource linked to the Jira user who logged the time. Similarly, if an error occurs while syncing issues to project tasks, the error notification is sent to the PSA resource linked to the Jira user who created, updated, or deleted the issue. The email is only used if the Email field on the PSA resource is blank.
  • If an error occurs when using any of the following features, the error notification is sent to the PSA user who created or updated the record.
    • Sync Projects from PSA to Issues in Jira
    • Sync Projects from PSA to Projects in Jira
    • Sync Project Tasks from PSA to Issues in Jira
Field Description
Use Parent Link Indicates whether you can use a Parent Link custom field provided by Jira to build a hierarchy from any issue type to issue type. By default, the Use Parent Link checkbox is deselected.

PSA Projects Mapped to

Indicates whether PSA projects are mapped to Jira issues or Jira projects. This enables you to:

  • Sync PSA projects to Jira issues or to Jira projects.
  • Update a PSA project field based on a Jira issue status.

The type of Jira issue is determined by the value of the Jira Issue Type field.This is deselected by default.

Type of Jira issue PSA projects are synced to.

Notes:
  • The issue type must exist in your Jira application.
  • This value is case-sensitive.
Sync PSA Projects to Jira Indicates whether PSA projects are synced to Jira. If selected, PSA Projects will be synced to the Jira, if the Sync to Jira field is selected.
Update PSA Project based on Jira Issue Indicates that eligible PSA projects are updated based on Jira issue. If this setting is deselected, no comments and attachments are synchronized from Jira Epic to PSA project in project to issue mode.

Sync PSA Project Tasks to Jira Issues Indicates that eligible PSA project tasks are synced to Jira issues. By default, it is deselected.

Timecard Status * Status in which timecards are created by the PSA Direct for Jira connector.

Sync Jira Issues to PSA Project Tasks   Indicates that eligible Jira issues are synced to PSA project tasks.
Jira Issue Types  

Type of Jira issues PSA projects are synced to.

Notes:
  • The issue type must exist in your Jira application.
  • This value is case-sensitive.
Sync Jira Comments to PSA   Indicates that the Jira comments are automatically synchronized to the Notes Related List in the PSA Project Task. In the Project to Issue mode, Jira comments are synchronized to the Notes Related List in the PSA Project only when the Enable Notes setting is enabled.
Sync Jira Attachments to PSA   Indicates that the file attachments are retrieved from Jira and synchronized with PSA. The supported size of an attachment is 5 MB.

Minimum Hours for Failed Queue Events * Indicates the minimum hours to keep failed Connector Core Queue Events before the next scheduled removal job deletes them. The value is in the range of 1 to 9999.
Minimum Hours for Successful Queue Events * Indicates the minimum hours to keep successful Connector Core Queue Events before the next scheduled removal job deletes them. The value is in the range of 1 to 9999.
Field Description
Enable PSA Direct for Jira Indicates whether the PSA Direct for Jira connector is active. By default, it is disabled.
Pause PSA Direct for Jira

When checked, the synchronized events will be queued but not processed. By default, it is disabled.

Note: You can only pause events when the PSA Direct for Jira is activated.
Sandbox Configured If selected, it indicates that the sandbox environment has been configured correctly. If deselected, PSA Direct for Jira will not synchronize to or from Jira.
