Adding Billable Contingencies to an Estimate
Upgrade Steps
To upgrade this feature to September 2024, take the following action.

| Assign read permission for the Contingency object to all Services CPQ users, even if you don't intend on using this feature. Without these permissions, users cannot view or edit an estimate record. | |
| If you are currently using the Summer 2024 version of Services CPQ, you must navigate to the Estimate Contingency object in Setup. In the Buttons, Links, and Actions tab, for the Lightning Experience Override field, select Lightning component and select "ffscpq:ec_createContingencyQuickAction" from the picklist. Click Save. | |
| If you are currently using the Summer 2024 version of Services CPQ, you must navigate to the Estimate Contingency object in Setup. Delete the DO NOT USE page layout that was introduced in the Summer 2024 release. In the Replace with Page Layout field, select "Estimate Contingency Layout" from the picklist. Click Replace. | |
| Add the Create Estimate Contingency button to the Estimate page layout. | |
