Scoping Action Fields

The scoping action record includes the following fields.

Field   Description
Action Type *

The type of action to be performed. You can select one of the following options:

  • Set Field Value

    Set the value of a field on a related estimate object to a specified value.

  • Modify Field Value

    Modify the value of a number field on a related estimate object by adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing a specified value.

  • Delete Record

    Delete the specified object's records from the estimate that's created from the scoping session.

  • Run Flow

    Run a specified flow.

  • Set Input as Value

    Map a value from the scoping session to a field on a specified target object.
Field Value   The field value to use when the action's type is Set Field Value or Modify Field Value. When the action type is Set Field Value, the value of this field is used to populate the target field. When the action type is Modify Field Value, the value of this field is used with the specified operator to modify the target field.
Flow  

The flow that runs when the action's type is Run Flow.

Note:

Only active autolaunched flows whose name includes the string defined by the Guided Scoping Flow Identifier custom setting field are displayed. For more information, see Guided Scoping Flow Identifier.
Modify Field Value Operator  

The operator used when the action's type is Modify Field Value. You can select one of the following options:

  • Add
  • Subtract
  • Multiply
  • Divide
Run Order   The order in which the action is run on an estimate created from a completed scoping session. If you do not manually specify a run order, actions are performed according to the order in which they were created.
Scoping Action Name * The name of the scoping action.
Scoping Requirement Response * The scoping requirement response that relates to the scoping action.
Target Field   The field to update when the action's type is Set Field Value or Modify Field Value.
Target Object   The object to update or delete when the action's type is Set Field Value, Modify Field Value, or Delete Record.

You can select one of the following options:

  • Estimate Product
  • Estimate Line Set
  • Estimate Task
  • Estimate Role Request
  • Estimate Role Skill Request
  • Estimate Vendor Line Item
  • Estimated Expense
