Upgrading to Extended Planning and Analysis January 2025

This page describes the changes to make when upgrading to January 2025.

To upgrade this feature to January 2025, take the following action.

Add a new picklist value named Recalculate Cells to the Operations picklist on the Asynchronous Plan Job object.

Asynchronous Plan Job Fields

Ensure that Plan Lightning Page is assigned as the default Lightning record page for the Plan object. You must assign the page at the org, app, and profile levels for all your users. This is required because the Lightning page has been updated to use dynamic actions based on whether the plan is locked. See the Salesforce Help.

Make the following changes to the Plan Layout page layout for the Plan object:

  1. Rename the existing Fields section to Information and ensure that the section header is displayed on the detail page and the edit page.
  2. Remove the Owner and Created By fields from the Information section.
  3. Add the new Locked field to the Information section and ensure that it is marked as read-only.
  4. Add a new section at the bottom of the page layout named System Information.

  5. Add the following fields to the System Information section and mark them as read-only:

    • Created By
    • Last Modified By
    • Owner
