New Features and Enhancements in Extended Planning and Analysis January 2025

The following new features have been introduced in the January 2025 release of Extended Planning and Analysis.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Extended Planning and Analysis January 2025. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.

Contains Calculation Icon

From this release, plan cells that contain calculations are identified using the Calculation icon. This might be useful if you want to see which plan cells contain calculations without looking at each plan cell individually.

For more information see, Displaying Calculation Cells.

Displaying a Plan in Full-Screen on Another Record

From this release, you can view a plan in full-screen on another record by clicking Show Full-Screen Plan, and hide the full-screen plan by clicking Hide Full-Screen Plan. When editing a plan in another record, this enables you to easily review your changes by giving you access to a full-screen view of your plan.

For more information, see Editing a Plan from Another Record and Plan Fields.

Lock Scenarios and Plans

You can now lock a plan to ensure that it can no longer be edited. This might be useful if you want to mark the plan as finalized. For example, after the plan has been reviewed and approved.

When you lock a plan, all its scenarios are automatically locked. Alternatively, you can lock a specific scenario of an unlocked plan. This might be useful if the scenario is finalized but the plan that the scenario belongs to is not.

For more information, see Plan Locking.

Managing a Relationship from a Parent Plan

You can now manage a relationship from both a parent plan and a child scenario, allowing you to edit the names of the relationship and the child dimensions as displayed in the parent plan and to filter the data shown on the parent plan on the parent plan itself. For more information, see Managing Relationships.
