Limits apply to the number of records contained on an object when you use it as a template to create a project. For example, 600 assignment records on an assignment object. When you have combinations of objects in your template, the record limits may be lower. For example, a limit of 400 assignments and 400 resource requests applies. Indicative examples of limits are shown row-by-row in the following table.
This table shows the limits for the number of records within individual objects and combinations of objects when creating a project from a template. Example: If there are only assignments to be copied, there can be 600 assignment records. However, if there are assignments and resource requests, there can be only 400 records for each object.

You can increase the limit of project-related data, including tasks that you can copy from a template. To do this, add Copy Child Records from Template Async to the Create Project From Opp And Template Project Columns field set. Additionally, after creating projects, you can split tasks into additional templates and then add tasks from these templates.
Limits are negatively impacted when you increase the value of 'create-project-from-template-default-records-per-page' from its default setting of 5. See create project from template default records per page for more information.
