Adding Additional Fields to a Timecard Line

You can add and configure fields in the detail section of a timecardClosed line.

Tip:

We recommend migrating to Timesheet Entry for all of your time management requirements. Timesheet Entry is an enhanced version of the Time Entry page. For more information, see Timesheet Entry Overview.

Log a Timecard - New UI

  1. Include the API names of the fields that you want to add to the Timecard Settings configuration option.
  2. Ensure that the appropriate RCEDClosed access is granted on the fields you entered in the previous step.
  3. If you want the values of these fields to be copied from a previous week's timecard, set the Copy Additional Fields From Previous Week configuration option to true.

Time Entry

Add fields to the Time Entry page using timecard field sets. See Field Sets for Timecard Entry .

You can add dependent drop-down lists to the Time Entry page in the following editable sections:

  • Timecard Row
  • Timecard Notes
