Adding Time Records to a CS Timesheet

You can use the Time Entry Grid available on the Customer Success Timesheet Entry page to add records to the timesheet to log worked time against. When saved, time logged against accounts are saved as CS timecard records. Time logged against success plans, objectives, playbooks, playbook tasks, and miscellaneous time is saved as success plan time, objective time, playbook time, playbook task time, and miscellaneous time records respectively.

Tip:

You can copy existing timecards to the current week using the Copy Timecards window.

Notes:
  • The Add Records button is not available on playbook task rows.
  • The Add Accounts and Add Miscellaneous Records buttons available from the Add time button only display if you have the required permissions to add accounts or to create miscellaneous time records in the Time Entry Grid, respectively. Contact your administrator.
  • The Add Records button available from the Options button only displays if you have the required create permissions to the objects you want to add records for in the Time Entry Grid. For example, you must have create permissions to playbook tasks in order to access the Add Records button on a playbook row. Contact your administrator.
  • Success plans and objectives might not display or be available to add to the Time Entry Grid depending on how your administrator has configured the grid. To add time against success plans and objectives and to show these records in the grid, contact your administrator.
  • Depending on how your administrator has configured the Time Entry Grid, you might only be able to enter time against task and miscellaneous records. If this functionality is enabled, you cannot enter time on CS timecard or miscellaneous header rows. To enter time against parent records, contact your administrator.

Adding Accounts to the Timesheet

You can add accounts to the timesheet to submit time against.

To add accounts to the timesheet:

  1. Click Add time then click Add Accounts.

  2. Select the accounts you want to add to the timesheet or search for an account using two or more characters that appear anywhere in the account's name. To filter the list of available accounts, click Open Filters Panel , select the required filter criteria, and click Apply.

  3. Click Add Accounts.

  4. Click Save to save these changes.

Notes:
  • If you do not have Read permissions to the Account fields displayed in the Add Accounts to Timesheet window, the fields do not display. Contact your administrator.
  • The CS Cloud Resource filter field is automatically populated with the user you're currently entering time for.

Adding Success Plans to the Timesheet

You can add success plans to the timesheet to submit time against.

To add success plans to the timesheet:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click  Add Miscellaneous Time on the account row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
    • Right-click the account row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
  2. Select the success plans you want to add to the timesheet or search for a record using two or more characters that appear anywhere in the record's name. To filter the list of available records, click Open Filters Panel , select the required filter criteria, and click Apply.
  3. Click Add Records.

  4. Click Save to save these changes.

Note:

Success plans might not display or be available to add to the Time Entry Grid depending on how your administrator has configured the grid. To add time against success plans, contact your administrator.

Adding Objectives to the Timesheet

You can add objectives to the timesheet to submit time against.

To add success plans to the timesheet:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click  Add Miscellaneous Time on the account or success plan row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
    • Right-click the account or success plan row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
  2. Select the objectives you want to add to the timesheet or search for a record using two or more characters that appear anywhere in the record's name. To filter the list of available records, click Open Filters Panel , select the required filter criteria, and click Apply.
  3. Click Add Records.

  4. Click Save to save these changes.

Note:

Objectives might not display or be available to add to the Time Entry Grid depending on how your administrator has configured the grid. To add time against objectives, contact your administrator.

Adding Playbooks to the Timesheet

You can add playbooks to the timesheet to submit time against.

To add playbooks to the timesheet:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click  Add Miscellaneous Time on the account, success plan, or objective row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
    • Right-click the account, success plan, or objective row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
  2. Select the playbooks you want to add to the timesheet or search for a record using two or more characters that appear anywhere in the record's name. To filter the list of available records, click Open Filters Panel , select the required filter criteria, and click Apply.
  3. Click Add Records.

  4. Click Save to save these changes.

Adding Playbook Tasks to the Timesheet

You can add playbook tasks to the timesheet to submit time against.

To add playbook tasks to the timesheet:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click  Add Miscellaneous Time on the account, success plan, objective, or playbook row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
    • Right-click the account, success plan, objective, or playbook row you want to add time to, then click Add Records.
  2. Select the playbook tasks you want to add to the timesheet or search for a record using two or more characters that appear anywhere in the record's name. To filter the list of available records, click Open Filters Panel , select the required filter criteria, and click Apply.
  3. Click Add Records.

  4. Click Save to save these changes.

Adding Miscellaneous Time to the Timesheet

You can add miscellaneous time to the timesheet to submit time against. Miscellaneous time is entered time that is not associated with an account. These records display in the Miscellaneous Time section in the grid.

To add miscellaneous time to the timesheet:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Add time then click Add Miscellaneous Records.
    • Right-click the Miscellaneous Time row in the grid, then click Add Miscellaneous Records.
    • Click  Add Miscellaneous Time on the Miscellaneous Time row in the grid, then click Add Miscellaneous Records.
  2. Select a category for your miscellaneous time.
  3. Enter a name for your miscellaneous time.

  4. [Optional] Enter a description for your miscellaneous time.

  5. Click Add Miscellaneous Records.

  6. Click Save to save these changes.
