Using the Time Entry Grid

Time Entry Grid enables you to view, update, and enter time for each day against Customer Success Cloud records. A summary is available in the Time Entry Grid which displays the current resource you're entering time for, their expected work hours for the week, and the amount of hours they've saved and submitted in the week you're viewing. You can submit timecards to be used in reporting from Time Entry Grid. You can recall submitted timecards so that they are no longer used in reporting and you can continue to edit them.

Notes:

Viewing Timecards

Each row in the grid reflects a timecard record, and displays worked hours for each day of the week. Accounts and their related records display in the grid.

You can use the Previous Week and Next Week buttons to move between weeks.

You can click Today to quickly navigate back to the current week.

You can use the Expand All and Collapse All buttons to view and hide all child records.

Notes:
  • When using the Time Entry Grid records are collapsed by default. The last previous state is saved to local storage. If you add new child records, their parents automatically expand enabling the newly added records to display.
  • If you don't have permission to update fields in the Time Entry Grid, the corresponding cell is locked. Contact your administrator.
  • The columns in the Time Entry Grid respect the resources' preferred start day. This is set on the CS Cloud Resource record page for the resource.
  • When selecting a date in the Timesheet Date window, the field is populated to reflect the week start date based on the day you have selected as your work week start day.
  • If CS timecards have been saved with a different work week start day than the one you’re currently using, CS timecard data is not longer visible for the previous start date in the Time Entry Grid. These saved CS timecard records still exist but are no longer visible in the Time Entry Grid.
