(Beta) Creating the Services Forecast Plans Dataset

The Services Forecast Plans dataset contains data sent to Analytics from your services forecast plans in WorkGrid. You must create the dataset from the Revenue Forecast Setup tab or PSA Administration tab to ensure that it contains the correct structure. This also helps you create a matching data source in WorkGrid.

Services Forecasting is Beta functionality in this release. Further development is required to deliver a fully functional solution. Contact Certinia Support.

Revenue Forecasting is unaffected and continues to work in the same way as before.

You must have been assigned the CRM Analytics Platform Admin permission set to create the Services Forecast Plans dataset.

To create the Services Forecast Plans dataset:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • From the PSA Administration tab, scroll down to the Services Forecasting section.
    • From the Revenue Forecast Setup tab, open a revenue forecast setup record. If one does not already exist, you must create one.
  2. Click Manage Services Forecast Plans Dataset. If the button is not available on your Revenue Forecast Setup page layout, you must add it manually.
  3. Select the destination app for the dataset. For data security purposes, we recommend you select your PS Cloud Core Analytics app.
  4. Click Create.

When the dataset is created, it includes a placeholder row.
