Notes About Creating Dated Resource Rates

When creating dated resource rates on a rate card, note the following:

  • The rate card's Dated Resource Rate Type field must be set to "Bill Rate" or "Cost Rate" as appropriate. If it is "None" you cannot create dated resource rates on the rate card.
  • You must enter an effective date for each dated resource rate.
  • You cannot set the same effective date for multiple dated resource rates on the same rate card.
  • We recommend that you set the effective date for one rate on each rate card in the distant past. This ensures that a rate is available if work on a project starts earlier than expected. An error is displayed if you try to save a timecard for a period when no rate is available.
