Managing and Maintaining Services Credits Deliverables
Services credits deliverables and their items can be edited to reflect any necessary changes, such as price reviews or changes in the scope of the service provided. You can choose between:
- Simply update the existing items. Editing the items does not have an impact on projects where they have already been added. They will only apply when adding the updated deliverable to other projects. The history of the deliverable item that was before the updates will be reflected in the project services credits deliverable items that were generated when adding the deliverable to projects. For more information, see Adding Deliverables to Projects.
-
Use the Active field to deactivate the whole deliverable or specific items within a deliverable:
- Deactivating a deliverable: you can deselect the Active checkbox on the deliverable, so it can no longer be added to projects. This makes all its related items unavailable by default, even if their Active checkbox is selected.
- Deactivating specific deliverable items: you can deselect the Active checkbox on the deliverable item, so that you can still add the deliverable to a project, but without that specific item. This is useful in the context of deliverables that are made up of multiple items. For example, if the scope of the service changes and specific items are no longer relevant, you can simply deactivate those items, without having to create a new deliverable that doesn't include those. Or, if you need to keep the items but update them, you may choose to deactivate them and then add new ones to replace them.
