Dated Resource Rates

Warning:

Dated resource bill and cost rates are Beta functionality in PSA due to limitations of use, but they can be used with role requests in Services Estimator. For information about dated resource rates in PSA, see (Beta) Dated Resource Rates Overview.

Create rate cards with dated resource bill or cost rates.	Creating Rate Cards
Add read permission for the following Estimate Role Request fields for all users: Use Dated Resource Cost Rates Use Dated Resource Bill Rates	Using Dated Resource Bill and Cost Rates in Services Estimator
Select a role request's Use Dated Resource Bill Rates checkbox, or Use Dated Resource Cost Rates checkbox. When you save the role request, a bill rate card or cost rate card is automatically matched to it.
Add the Default Use Dated Resource Bill Rates and Default Use Dated Resource Cost Rates checkboxes to the Estimate page layout.
Select the Default Use Dated Resource Bill Rates checkbox, or Default Use Dated Resource Cost Rates checkboxes on an estimate. When selected, role requests created from the estimate use dated resource bill and cost rates by default, respectively.
To ensure the Bill Amount is calculated correctly on resource requests that use dated resource bill rates, the Sync Role Req Schedule with Resource Req checkbox in the Services Estimator custom setting must be selected.	Services Estimator Settings
For the best compatibility and performance with dated resource rates, we recommend upgrading to the PSA Summer 2025 version.
