Override Default General Ledger Accounts for Billing Contracts
Manually updating general ledger accounts on sales credit notes created when ending billing contracts can be time consuming. We've introduced more flexibility to your workflow by allowing you to automatically assign specific general ledger accounts when ending billing contracts for specific reasons.
We've added the following custom settings fields in the Billing Central Settings custom setting:
- Default GLA for Bad Debt
- Default GLA for Early Settlement
You can now use the Automatic Creation of Sales Credit Note When Ending Contracts action in the Settings section on the Billing Central Task Launcher page to specify the general ledger accounts for these custom settings. These overrides the default general ledger account on the created sales credit notes, based on the cancellation reason on the billing contract.
We've also updated the Billing Central - Contract - Schedule Billing Run permission set to include access to the Automatic Creation of Sales Credit Note When Ending Contracts action for relevant users.

Billing Central Settings Are Now on the Tax Calculation Settings Page
The Billing Central Tax Calculation Settings page is deprecated in the Spring 2026 release. These settings are renamed to Billing Central Settings and are now located on the Tax Calculation Settings page.
To calculate tax using Avalara, you must use the Billing Central settings on the Tax Calculation Settings page. In the Billing Central settings section, click Manage Tax Mapping to manage tax mapping fields.
You can now use the Calculate Tax with Avalara: Scope Size field in the Billing Central Settings section of the Tax Calculation Settings page.
For more information, see Avalara AvaTax Tax Calculation Settings.
