Custom Field Types in Gantt Columns

The following table describes supported and unsupported Salesforce custom field types for columns in Gantt.

Note:

We're retiring the Gantt page, and Project Task Gantt, and they'll be deactivated in a future release, no sooner than Spring 2027. We'll continue to support the Gantt page and Project Task Gantt until deactivation, but recommend that you start using Gantt on a project record. Work with your administrator to start using Gantt on a project record.

Formula

Supported. Read-only.

Note:

Hyperlinks are not supported in formula fields for Gantt.
Roll up summary Supported. Read-only.

Checkbox Supported
Currency

Supported. Prefixed with a currency ISO code, such as GBP.

Symbols, such as £ are not supported.
Date Supported
DateTime Supported
Email Supported. Uses validation for formatting. Example: [email protected].
GeoLocation Supported. Uses two number fields.
Number Supported
Percent Supported. Uses % symbol suffix.
Phone Supported. Does not use formatting validation.
Picklist Supported
Picklist Multi-select Supported. Comma-separated list.
