Restricted Fields in Gantt Columns

The following fields are restricted for use in columns in Gantt.

Note:

We're retiring the Gantt page, and Project Task Gantt, and they'll be deactivated in a future release, no sooner than Spring 2027. We'll continue to support the Gantt page and Project Task Gantt until deactivation, but recommend that you start using Gantt on a project record. Work with your administrator to start using Gantt on a project record.

These core fields are displayed by default. They are not duplicated if selected for the field set:

  • Actual Hours
  • Duration Units
  • End Date & Time
  • Estimated Hours
  • Name
  • Start Date & Time
  • WBS Element Number
  • Work Calendar

These fields are not displayed in the task grid:

  • System fields:

    • Created By ID > Name
    • Created Date
    • Is Deleted
    • Last Activity Date
    • Last Modified By ID > Last Name
    • Last Modified Date
    • Last Referenced Date
    • Last Viewed Date
    • Owner ID > Name
    • System Modstamp

  • Fields that cannot be changed:

    • Assigned Resources
    • Assigned Resources (Long)
    • Hierarchy Depth
    • Parent Task
    • Peer Order
    • Project
    • Task Name Chain
    • Task Name Chain (Long)
    • Top-level Parent Task
