New Features and Enhancements in Services Estimator Spring 2026

The following new features have been introduced in the Spring 2026 release of Services Estimator.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Services Estimator Spring 2026. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.

If you are upgrading from a version earlier than January 2026, check the documentation for previous releases for upgrade details.

Price Estimates Using Attribute Based Pricing

We have introduced the Baseline pricing method designed for scenarios where cost and price must be decoupled to support Attribute Based Pricing. You can now set a fixed price on line sets regardless of the underlying delivery cost. This enables you to justify increased margins based on value, rather than time and materials. You can affect the baseline price and pricing modifiers through Guided Scoping actions.

Additionally, schedules are now automatically created and updated for role requests when their hours are modified during a Guided Scoping Session. Schedules are also updated when the start or end date of an estimate is modified using the "Run Flow" scoping action. When an estimate is created from a scoping session, schedules reflect the current scoping responses, including changes by "Set Field Value," "Modify Field Value," "Run Flow", and "Custom Response" actions. This enhancement ensures that estimators can immediately view accurate schedules and dated cost rates without needing to manually save the estimate first.

For more information, seeAttribute Based Pricing Overview.

Set Duration in the Estimate Builder

You can now view the weekly duration of records in the Estimate Builder using the new Duration field. This provides enhanced visibility into your project timelines. If you adjust any start or end dates, the Duration field will automatically update to reflect these changes.

By default, the value is displayed in weeks (w) and is editable by weeks. If you change the dates so that the duration is not a full week, the column displays the number of weeks (w) and days (d). For the purposes of this column, a week is measured as seven days. The Duration field follows the existing conventions around moving dates, which are as follows:

  • If you reduce the duration of a parent record, all child records will update to reflect the new duration.
  • If you extend the duration of a child record, all parent records will update to reflect the new duration if it exceeds their existing start and end date.

For more information, see Estimate Builder Overview and Changing Estimate Dates.

Update Multiple Role Requests in the Estimate Builder

We have introduced the Mass Update Role Requests button to enable you to efficiently update multiple role requests at once. You can access this button directly from the right-click cell menu in the Estimate Builder. You can quickly apply a single value to multiple role requests, such as changing the region for several roles simultaneously. This enhancement simplifies bulk data entry and ensures data consistency across role request records.

For more information, see Estimate Builder Overview.

Configure Estimate Payment Terms to Define Custom Payment Durations

You can now use estimate payment terms to estimate when revenue is expected to be received rather than just when it is billed. This provides granular control over financial forecasting by enabling you to define custom payment durations using various offset methods.

Viewing projected payment dates through the new Expected Payment Amount row in the Estimate Financial Summary improves the accuracy of your cash flow projections. The Estimate Financial Summary also dynamically renders additional time periods if payment terms push the expected revenue beyond the initial project end date.

Key enhancements in this improved forecasting include:

  • Define expected payment dates using methods such as Custom Days Offset, End of Next Month, End of 2 Months, and End of 3 Months.
  • Apply payment terms to billing groups, estimate products, and estimate records.
  • View the Expected Payment Amount row in the Estimate Financial Summary, which consolidates labor and estimate vendor line item billing amounts shifted into future periods based on your applied terms.

For more information, see Estimate Payment Terms Overview.

Streamline Your Scoping Process to Create Custom Records and Adapt Estimates to Evolving Requirements

You can now add records to an estimate using Guided Scoping. The new "Add Record" action type enables you to add an estimate template, add records from an estimate template, or create a new record to add to an estimate. This enhancement accelerates estimate creation by providing the flexibility to add or create custom records, ensuring operational consistency.

Additionally, you can now update an estimate that has an associated scoping session. You can edit the responses on the relevant estimate products and update the estimate. This update empowers you to adapt estimates to evolving project requirements without sacrificing data integrity.

For more information, see Guided Scoping Overview and Scoping Actions Overview.

Optimize Estimate Recalculation Process in Services Estimator Administration

We've added the option to regenerate financial summaries using the Recalculate Estimates action. Instead of performing two separate actions, you can now both recalculate estimates and regenerate existing financial summaries at the same time. On the Services Estimator Administration page, select the Regenerate Financial Summaries checkbox. This provides a more efficient way of recalculating estimate data to streamline the estimating process.

For more information, see Services Estimator Administration.

Deprecation Notice

The following fields in the Details subtab have been deprecated and will be deactivated in the Spring 2027 release. Ensure that you no longer use these fields:

  • Cost Contingency
  • Apply Discount to Cost Contingency

You can now add a cost contingency to a record using the Add Contingencyrow-level action in the Estimate Builder. For more information, see Adding Contingencies to an Estimate.
