Deleting a Column from a Forecast

You can remove a time period from a forecast by deleting the columns that belong to the time period. This can be useful if you want to remove a time period that is no longer relevant.

Note:

You cannot delete an entire time period at once. You can only delete a column that represents revenue or cost for the time period. Once you've deleted both columns in the period, the period disappears. If your org is configured to display year and month instead of the name of the time period, deleting revenue and cost values removes the month. After you have removed all the months in a year, the year automatically disappears.

To delete a time period:

  1. Open the forecast that contains the time period you want to delete.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click Amount (Corporate Currency) in the column that you want to delete.
    • Right-click any cell that belongs to the column you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete Column. The column is removed from the table.
  4. Repeat the previous two steps until the time period disappears from the table.
  5. In the forecast toolbar, click Save.
