New Features and Enhancements in Financial Planning and Analysis September 2026

The following new features have been introduced in the September 2026 release of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Filter Plan Views Using Dimension Values

We've added a dimension value filter to the plan table toolbar. On a plan whose lowest-level column dimension has more than one value, you can now select a single value to display instead of every value at once. By default, "All" is selected, and the columns for all dimension values are displayed. This helps project managers and financial controllers work with large, multi-year plans without running into a plan's column limit.

Your selection is remembered automatically the next time you open the plan, and the dimension value filter is available both on the plan table and when the plan is embedded on another record page.

Secure Plan Operations and Streamline Views to Focus Workflows

We've made a number of enhancements to plan table features and feature permissions.

Updates to Plan Tables

Now, the additional row actions menu button, available on plan table rows, does not display if you don't have permission to use any of the actions specific to that row in the plan table.

Updates to Feature Permissions

We've added feature permissions for locking and unlocking, and cloning plans, which enable administrators to restrict these actions for specific users through feature access rules. Both permissions are enabled by default on the out-of-the-box Project Manager Feature Permissions and Services Leader Feature Permissions access rules. The existing Drill on Dimension Values permission is also now enabled by default on both of those rules.

We've updated the Create Scenarios feature permission so that the Clone Options drop-down menu in the Manage Scenarios window is now hidden when the feature permission is disabled.

We've also added a search field to the Feature Permissions grid on the access rule record page to help you find a specific permission more quickly.
