New Features and Enhancements in Foundations Summer 2026
The following new features have been introduced in the Summer 2026 release of Foundations.
If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Foundations Summer 2026. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.
If you are upgrading from a version earlier than Spring 2026, check the documentation for previous releases for upgrade details.
Enhance Asynchronous Framework Tracker
We've enhanced how you monitor background processes to give you better visibility into job progress and performance.
You can now customize your view of the Asynchronous Framework Tracker grid to focus on the data most relevant to your current task. This enables you to track the lifecycle of a job from creation to completion at a glance.
The grid now includes the following columns:
- Callable Name
- Created By
- Created Date
- Dependency Count
- Error
- Finalizer Callable Name
- Finalizer Error
- Finalizer Status
- Finished Date
- Process Description
- Status
When you need to investigate specific job behaviors or troubleshoot issues, you can access deeper data directly within the interface.
You can utilize these new viewing options:
- Review high-level summaries and specific record data in the new Technical Details section.
- Access this information by opening the Details panel.
You can switch your view to show the async job group and async job records to view related groups or records together. By default, you will view the async job groups.
For more information, see Asynchronous Framework Tracker Overview and FDN Asynchronous Framework Tracker Lightning Component Fields.
Improved Error Handling Across the Asynchronous Framework
If you're processing high volumes of data, row-locking errors can sometimes trigger unhandled exception emails even when the framework is already scheduled to retry the task. Those particular unhandled exception emails are not providing any value, as no action is needed.
To prevent the Asynchronous Framework from sending unhandled-exception emails, we've introduced a Manage Errors field in the Async Job Record object to manage errors, keeping your inbox clean. When this field is selected, the unhandled exception is suppressed to prevent an automated email from being sent to your system administrator.
There can be an impact on customizations, so we have provided an opt-out mechanism for specific callables that involve callouts or other operations incompatible with database savepoints. Your administrator can disable this behavior for specific callables. This is managed through a Configuration Item override, giving you the flexibility to select which jobs should propagate exceptions to the platform and which should be handled internally by the framework
For more information, see Async Job Record Fields.
Meeting Poland VAT Reporting Requirements with Updated Compliance Support
We've introduced new capabilities to help you meet the latest Electronic Invoicing requirements in Poland, ensuring your org remains compliant with the National E-Invoicing System (KSeF). These updates automate the exchange of invoice data and ensure every document carries the mandatory legal identifiers aligning with the Poland VAT Reporting mandate.
To enable this, we've expanded our Avalara mappings to help you stay compliant with the Poland VAT Reporting mandate. This update ensures your accounting documents communicate correctly with Avalara for accurate tax filling.
To support this integration, the following fields mappings are now mapped from sales invoices, sales credit notes, payable invoices, and payable credit notes to Avalara:
- Unique Document Code
- Unique Document Code Type
- Unique Document Code Country
The Unique Document Code and Unique Document Code Type fields are now available on the Sales Invoice, Sales Credit Note, Payable Invoice, and Payable Credit Note objects. Once the accounting document is issued and approved by Poland's National E-Invoicing System, these fields are populated via Storecove with the assigned KSeF ID.
To maintain alignment with Storecove's seamless integration, the Electronic Invoice receiving flow has been migrated to their new received-documents webhook. This migration is purely backend-focused; the data captured from received documents and the information displayed on the resulting payable invoices and payable credit notes remain unchanged.
To help you activate the values required for these identifiers, we've added the Electronic Invoicing Localization feature on the Feature Console. For Poland, this feature adds the required values to the Unique Document Code Type picklist and cross-references the Avalara VAT Reporting Integration feature for customers who use Avalara VAT Reporting.
For more information, see Enabling Electronic Invoicing Localization.
For more information, see About the Avalara VAT Reporting Mappings
Configure Lookup Filter Metadata to Improve Data Accuracy in Custom User Interfaces
Administrators can now create metadata for existing lookup filters. Other Certinia products can use this metadata to improve lookup functionality in custom user interfaces, such as tables and windows. These lookups display only the records that meet your filter criteria.
For more information, see Lookup Filters Overview and Registering a Lookup Filter.
Managing Scheduled Jobs Efficiently from the Scheduled Jobs Configuration Page
Several enhancements have been made to the Scheduled Jobs Configuration page to make it a more interactive experience.
You can now run one or more scheduled jobs immediately from the Scheduled Jobs Configuration page, without waiting for the next scheduled run time.
To run jobs manually, select one or more jobs using the checkboxes in the list, then click Run. A confirmation message appears when the jobs have been triggered, and the status of each selected job changes to In progress.
You can now also edit and activate recurring schedules for jobs directly from the Scheduled Jobs Configuration page. All the tools you need to configure and activate job schedules are available in one place, so you no longer need to navigate to a separate area of the system to manage schedule settings.
To edit a schedule, click the row action drop-down for a job and select Edit Schedule. Make your changes and click Save. The schedule is saved, the job is activated, and the Scheduled status and Next Run date and time update automatically to reflect the new configuration. To close without saving, click Cancel.
You can also disable the schedule of an active scheduled job directly from the Scheduled Jobs Configuration page.
To disable a schedule, click the row action drop-down for a job where the Scheduled checkbox is checked, then select Disable Schedule. In the confirmation window, click Disable to confirm, or Cancel to close without making changes.
Lastly, you can now also adjust the Last Run date and time for objects in the Generate Sequences configuration from the Scheduled Jobs Configuration page.
To adjust Last Run dates, click the row action drop-down for the Generate Sequences job, then select Adjust Last Run. In the Adjust Last Run modal, update the Last Run date and time for each object you want to change, then click Save. Click Cancel to close without saving.

Supporting the French Electronic Invoicing Mandate
Specify Reason Codes and Tax Exemption Details on Allowance and Charge Lines for Electronic Invoicing
You can now specify a coded reason, a tax exemption reason, and a tax exemption reason code on allowance and charge lines when sending electronic invoices. Three new fields — AllowanceCharges.ReasonCode, AllowanceCharges.TaxExemptionReason, and AllowanceCharges.TaxExemptionReasonCode — are now available for mapping in the Electronic Invoicing field mapping UI, alongside the existing free-text AllowanceCharges.Reason field.
This enables you to include structured compliance data on allowance and charge lines, helping you meet regulatory requirements such as Peppol BIS UNCL5189 and the French electronic invoicing mandate (FR-FE).
For more information, see Field Mappings for Sales Invoice to Electronic Invoice, Field Mappings for Sales Credit Note to Electronic Invoice, Field Mappings for Electronic Invoice to Payable Invoice, and Field Mappings for Electronic Invoice to Payable Credit Note.
Supporting the French Electronic Invoicing Mandate
Map Additional Note Fields on Sales and Payable Documents for Electronic Invoicing
You can now map up to three invoice-level notes on outbound sales invoices and sales credit notes, and on inbound payable invoices and payable credit notes, and up to three line-level notes on line items for electronic invoicing. The Field Mapping UI for e-invoicing now exposes Notes[0], Notes[1], and Notes[2] at both header and line level, alongside the existing singular Note field at header level.
This enables you to send and receive richer contextual information on electronic invoices, helping you meet regulatory requirements such as those defined by the French e-invoicing mandate.
