Adding Estimate Rate Modifiers

You can add rate modifiers to an estimate to apply a percentage-based adjustment to bill rates. Rate modifiers are managed from the Related subtab on the Estimate record page.

To add a rate modifier to an estimate:

  1. Open the estimate you want to add a rate modifier to.
  2. Select the Related subtab.
  3. In the Estimate Rate Modifiers related list, click New.
  4. Enter a name for the rate modifier.
  5. [Optional] Update the estimate the rate modifier applies to.
  6. In the Rate Type field, select "Bill".
  7. Enter the value as an adjustment percentage. Enter a positive number to increase rates or a negative number to decrease them.
  8. [Optional] Enter a Start Date and End Date to limit the modifier to a specific date range.
  9. [Optional] Enter a description.
  10. [Optional] Select a role, region, practice, or group to limit the modifier to matching role requests.
  11. [Optional] Select the Apply to Sub-Regions, Practices & Groups checkbox to additionally apply the rate modifier to sub-regions, practices, and groups of the scoped regions, practices, and groups.
  12. Click Save.
  13. Click to see your changes in the Estimate Builder.
