Assigning a Resource to Projects on the Resource Planner

To assign a resourceA contact that works on a project. to a projectA collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets. from a resource listed on the resource plannerA graphical tool that gives you an organized, comprehensive view of resources and the projects to which they are assigned.:

1. Display the resource plannerA graphical tool that gives you an organized, comprehensive view of resources and the projects to which they are assigned. and search for the resource that you want to assign.
2. Click the resource that you want to assign.
3. Click the Assign Resource to Project Icon:

   

   The Mass Assign Resource to Project page appears.

4. Select the checkboxes for the projects that you want to assign the resource to and click Create Assignments.
5. Complete the fields on each assignment line. See "Mass Assign Projects to Resource Fields".
6. Click Create Assignments.

   The assignments are created and listed.

7. If you want to view the details of an assignment or project, select the link for that assignment or project.
8. To display the details for the Resource, click Back to Resource.
