Resource Planner

The FinancialForce PSA resource plannerA graphical tool that gives you an organized, comprehensive view of resources and the projects to which they are assigned. is a graphical tool that gives you an organized, comprehensive view of resources and the projects to which they are assigned.

Scheduled hours for each resource are shown for each month, week, or day depending on the zoom level selected. Assignments are shown in Gray. The schedule block for a resourceA contact that works on a project. is color coded:

• Green indicates that hours assigned for the resource on projects match the work calendar
• Red indicates that hours assigned for the resource on projects are greater than the work calendar.
• White indicates consolidated periods of zero hours.
• Yellow indicates that hours assigned for the resource on projects are less than the work calendar.

If you have the privileges to do so you can:

• View assignments for each resource in detail and adjust their schedules.
• Adjust allocations for a resource when they are under or over allocated.
• Open the details for a resource or assignmentConnection between a resource and a project. on the contacts or assignment page.
• Search for resources using various criteria.

You can click the Open in Salesforce button on the resource planner to the open an assignment or a resource.

Tip

You can also search for resources in the Assign Resource section of the Resource Request Detail page, using filters that appear depending on the configuration that your administrator has set.
