Changing an Assignment Using the Timeline

You can modify an assignmentConnection between a resource and a project. on the timeline by clicking and dragging it.

Note

If your administrator has set the Add Holidays on Assignment Adjust configuration option in the Planner General configuration groupA collection of configuration options contained in the configuration groups tab that defines behaviour of a FinancialForce PSA object or feature., holiday schedule exceptions are added if the new date range that you select falls within a holiday.

To change the start date of an assignment using the timeline:

1. Hover over the left edge of the assignment block until the icon appears.
2. Click and drag the assignment block to the date on which you want the assignment to start.
3. To apply the change, click Yes on the confirmation popup that appears.

To change the end date of an assignment using the timeline:

1. Hover over the right edge of the assignment block until the icon appears.
2. Click and drag the assignment block to the date on which you want the assignment to end.
3. To apply the change, click Yes on the confirmation popup that appears.

To move both the start and end dates of an assignment, but maintain the assignment duration:

1. Hover over the assignment block until the icon appears.
2. Click and drag the assignment block until the start and end dates show the values that you want.
3. To apply the change, click Yes on the confirmation popup that appears.
