Adding Project Tasks

To add a project task in Gantt (Beta):

  1. Click . A task is added to the Task Grid, and the Project Task Name cell is editable.
  2. Enter a name, and then select or tab to the Start Date cell.

Child tasks inherit the start date of the parent with a duration of one day. However, if you add a project task directly for the project, its start date is the current day.

  3. If needed, enter the start date or select it from the calendar in the cell.
  4. Select or tab to the End Date or Duration cell. Enter or select an end date or a duration.

Setting an end date automatically updates the duration.

You can enter a duration up to two decimal points in hours (h, hour, hours) or days (d, day, days), such as 1d, 7.75h, or you can use the selector to increase the duration by one day or hour at a time. To create a checkpoint task, enter a duration of 0.

  5. Click Save.
