Editing Project Tasks

In Gantt (Beta), you can edit the name of a project task in the Task Grid, and you can edit the details and delete tasks in the Task Grid or the Gantt Chart. Any changes are reflected in both panes.

Editing Project Tasks in the Task Grid

To edit the name, start date, end date or duration of a project task in the Task Grid:

1. Double-click or tab to the relevant cell, and then edit the details.
2. If needed, double-click or tab to the other cells and edit them.
3. When you have completed your changes, press Enter or click outside the cell.
4. Click Save.

Editing Project Tasks in the Gantt Chart

You can move and stretch the project task bars in the Gantt chart to change their start date, end date and duration:

• To move a project task to a different start date without changing its duration, drag the bar to the required date.
• To change a start date or an end date:
  1. Hover near the start or end of a bar until the stretch control is displayed.
  2. Press and hold the control and stretch the bar to another start or end date.

When you have completed your changes, click Save.

Deleting Project Tasks

Select one or more project tasks in the Task Grid or Gantt Chart, click , and then click Save.
